As the CEO of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange Limited (TTSE), it is my honour to welcome you to our recently minted Virtual World. Over the coming days and weeks, you will be introduced to our new social media platforms and other noteworthy initiatives. The Stock Exchange is a strategic component in the development and sustainability of the capital market and by extension, the development and advancement of Trinidad and Tobago’s economy.
We are on the verge of launching some new and exciting strategic initiatives designed to transform the local market, drive trading activity and encourage the mobilization of capital, with particular emphasis on the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
So much has changed globally and right here at the TTSE, one thing is clear, there is more change to come. The world has become highly dependent on digital technology and we endeavour to keep apace by continuing to focus on strengthening our resources geared toward Technology and Innovation, which together with our decision to rebrand, is part of our ongoing commitment to connect with all our stakeholders and create opportunities that empower you to achieve your financial ambitions.
As a self-regulatory body, we provide a viable platform where SMEs and large companies alike have the opportunity to facilitate the expansion and diversification of their businesses, while ensuring a fair and regulated system where investors can confidently engage in managing their investment portfolios. This dual role keeps us sharp and focused so that we achieve our mandate and serve our stakeholders with purpose and passion.
The TTSE and our subsidiary the Trinidad and Tobago Central Depository Limited (TTCD) stand ready to serve our various stakeholders. We are committed to bringing more financial education and awareness to the investing population of Trinidad and Tobago. We also look forward to strengthening our partnership and infusing greater collaboration with entrepreneurs, companies interested in listing on the Exchange, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Government as we work in unison to grow our capital market.
We are committed to Creating Opportunities!
